Pharmacists in Saskatchewan are now permitted to prescribe & inject Saskatchewan residents with domestic and travel health vaccinations.

Pharmacies who are now providing these services, a list is currently under development. This public list is on the PAS public site, which is also referenced by our provincial partners, the Ministry of Health.

Training Requirements

For each level, pharmacists who provide these services are expected to have the following additional training.




Advanced Method Certification (Injection Training) - Mandatory
Available through CPDPP

Disease prevention
 
Guideline training through CPDPP and Education Program for Immunization Competencies and Administration Skills Workshop

Low-risk travel 
Guideline training through CPDPP and Comprehensive Travel Medicine Course (BCPhA or Health eLearning Travel Health Educator)

High-risk travel
Guideline training through CPDPP and ISTM Training
