Member's Assistance Program (MAP)
PAS recognizes that members need additional support options for their mental health. PAS sponsors the Members' Assistance Program (MAP); a VOLUNTARY CONFIDENTIAL PROGRAM for PAS Members in Saskatchewan.
MAP is dedicated to the principle of confidentially assisting members and their families with problems that have the potential to adversely affect professional and personal performance or the well-being of the family. Confidentiality will be preserved by your service provider.
What is MAP?MAP is counselling services of up to $500 or 5 sessions that are available to all PAS members, their immediate family members including children attending university out of province.
How Do I Access MAP?To access the MAP program, members should contact member relations, firstname.lastname@example.org or call 306-359-7277.
How does it work?Step 1) Members contact Brenda,member relations.
Step 2) Following this, they can book their counselling services.
Step 3) Submit your receipts to member relations following the sessions to be reimbursed.
Step 4) At the maximum of $500 or 5 sessions, contact Brenda to see if you qualify for additional coverage or complies with the recommended treatment program.
Service ProvidersMembers can choose a service provider of their choice for the counselling services. If members do not have a counselling provider of choice, please contact the PAS office for recommendations.
The program provides for either self-referrals from members or their families. Examples of assistance include
- Crisis / trauma
- Anxiety / Depression
- Addiction counselling
- Marriage and family counselling
- Stress management
- Grief and anger
- Conflict resolution
- Youth and parenting
- Domestic mediation
- Psychological assessment
