Safe Medication Disposal
We all want to ensure that our loved ones are kept safe, that’s why it’s important to take unused and expired medications back to the pharmacy for safe disposal.
Unused or waste medications in the home can pose a serious health and safety risk to others, especially to children and pets, if they are not disposed of properly.
Regularly disposing of unused or waste medications in the home can help to reduce medications accidents in your home and reduce the impact of medications on the environment.
Pharmacies across Saskatchewan have partnered with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health on the launch of a Safe Medication Disposal Project.
Saskatchewan residents are encouraged to take their unused medications back to pharmacies for safe disposal.
Your pharmacist will dispose of all medications for you. You just need to follow a few easy steps before taking your unused/expired medications to the pharmacist.

Help us to help you keep your homes and our communities safe, by taking all your unused or expired medications to your pharmacist for safe disposal.
